sketch

With this sketch I started to define some of the program spaces inside my final concept model. providing very nice views of the river, the bridge, and the city from major spaces such as the gym, one of the terraces, the cafeteria, and the media room.

structure

Bernhard Franken and Bollinger + Grohmann, Take off sculpture, Munich Airport, 2003

Zaha Hadid Architects, Contemporary Arts Centre, Cagliari, Sardinia, 2007

A chinese straw hat was Shigeru Ban's inspiration for the design of the roof for the Centre Pompidou in Metz.

These are examples of some free-form structures that could be used for my project.

Final Concept

I chose this as my final concept because it expresses how each major elements of my program works cohesively with each other. Also because it provides very nice views from different points creating different sensations on different spaces, which is something that would inspire people performing different activities such as playing soccer, physical conditioning, or even recovering from an injury.
